What is tapas?

Tapas is simply a small snack or appetizer taken with a drink or two at lunchtime or in the early evening before the main meal.way?

 

Why  Eat This Way?

Tapas is essentially a style of eating rather than a form of cooking. It means sociability, friends and family. People of a like minds talking and drinking in a relaxed atmosphere while nibbling away on little bites of intense flavor. You can keep it simple or you can make it as complicated as you like but whichever way you prefer it, tapas is best served with an early evening drink among friends and lively company.

 
The Menu:

Seafood Bisque  - Made fresh to order, shrimp & scallops, sautéed with garlic, mushrooms and scallion’s flambéed with brandy & finished with seafood volute and heavy cream. $4

French Steak & Onion Soup Au Gratin  - Classic french onion with the great taste of fire roasted steak topped with an aged asiago crostini and a blend of cheeses.  $2

Manhattan's Sirloin Steak  - Char-grilled sirloin steak topped with sautéed mushrooms, roasted red peppers, crumbled blue cheese, then broiled.$4
Roasted Lamb Chops  - Rack of lamb chops incrusted with pistachios and herbed bread crumb oven roasted and garnished with fresh mint relish or raspberry habanero sauce. $5

Basil Salmon – Fresh hand cut filet rubbed with fresh basil pesto then pan seared with pine nuts, roasted roma tomatoes and drizzled with a balsamic reduction. $4

Lobster Mac & Cheese  - Lobster  tail meat sautéed with tomatoes, basil, garlic and shallots in a creamy 3 cheese sauce (sharp white cheddar, havarti and pepper jack), tossed with penne pasta, topped with cheddar cheese and baked. $4

 

Shrimp or Scallop Scampioni  - Tender gulf shrimp sautéed with mushrooms, scallions, shallots, tomatoes, garlic and roasted red peppers, in a parmigiano butter lemon sauce. $4

Three Cheese Garlic Bread - Cheddar, provolone and Asiago cheese melted over a French baguette with garlic butter. $3

Veal CrustiniMedallion of veal topped with a tomato, basil and olive salsa on top of a crispy baguette. $5

Stuffed Cherry PepperCapicolla or Anchovy stuffed.  $.75

BBQ ScallopJumbo Sea Scallop wrapped in bacon and fried, then tossed with a horseradish BBQ sauce.  $3

Italian Sausage CakeFresh hand made ground Italian sausage mixed with gorgonzola & banana peppers, onions & spices, breaded with seasoned cracker crumbs then pan fried topped with a gorgonzola remoulade.  $2

Scallops VeracruzPan seared sea scallops with fresh fennel, red bell peppers and spinach, finished with a pinot grigio lime herb butter sauce.  $4

Gorgonzola ChickenChar-grilled chicken breast topped with mushroom marinara sauce and gorgonzola cheese then broiled.  $3

Stuffed ShrimpShrimp butterflied and stuffed with crab stuffing then broiled with butter and wine.  $3

Steak RuebenSirloin, char-grilled and topped with a 1000 island remoulade, sauerkraut and broiled with swiss cheese.  $4

Popeye Chicken  – Chicken breast char-grilled topped with spinach, garlic, provolone and asiago cheeses and baked.  $3
